PAGE FOUR 22,715 Motorists Tangle With Law During February State Patrolmen Drove 1,852,996 Miles In Dis charge of Duties Men of the State Highway 'Patrol in February arrested or issued citations to 22,715 motorists for various traffic violations, an average of about 45 arrests for each of the Patrol’s 500 men on duty during the month. In carrying out their activities the patrolmen issued 593 tickets for im proper lights, investigated 1,781 ac cidents and inspected 113,379 ve hicles. * They passed out 9,782 warning tic kets, inspected 155,991 driver’s li- 1 censes, issued 1,714 equipment tickets and investigated 7,774 complaints. During February patrolmen return ed cars and property valued at $68,- 015.81 to their owners. The troopers, operating in every county of the state, spent 156,547 hours on duty and drove 1,852,996 miles on routine patrols of primary and secondary roads. The patrol used 1,319,868 gallons of gasoline and 4,742 quarts of oil in the discharge of their duties during the month. Pfc. Herbert Jordan Air Force Technician Pfc. Herbert R. Jordan, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Jordan of Tyner, is presently training as an Air Force Technician at the USAF Technical School at Warren Air Force Base, Wy oming, it has been announced by the Commanding Officer.
