Q. Elliott and unanimous ly carried, the following resolution was adopted: WHEREAS, The Bank of Edenton is and has for many years been des ignated as the depository for all funds for Chowan County; and, •WHEREAS, the said Bank of Eden ton is a member of the Federal De posit Insurance Corporation, which corporation guarantees deposits in the maximum amount of $10,000.00; and, (WHEREAS, the said Bank of Eden ton has deposited the following bonds to further sufficiently guarantee said county’s funds: U. S. Bonds County Bonds Municipal Bonds. THEREFORE, be it resolved, that The Bank of Edenton is hereby des ignated as the depository for all funds belonging to Chowan County, for the term beginning as of the first Monday in December, 1952, and ending on the | first Monday in December, 1966. < On motion of J. R. Peele, seconded by J. A. Wefeb, the following resolu tionNras passed and adopted: BE IT RESOLVED that a certain lot on the North side of East Gale Street in the Town of Edenton, N. C., known as the Daniel Smith Estate lot be assessed for taxation for the years 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953 in accordance with the provisions of Section 105-331 General Statutes of North Carolina, and the Tax Super visor of Chowan County is hereby di rected .to add such penalties as are allowed by said section. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk be and he is hereby direct ed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the Tax Supervisor of Chowan County. On motion of J. A. Webb, second ed' by J. R. Peele, the following reso lution was passed and adopted: B<E IT RESOLVED that J. N. Pruden, County Attorney, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to in stitute foreclosure actions in the name of Chowan County for all unpaid 1950 and 1951 county taxes. On motion of J. R. Peele, seconded arrangement between Chowan and Perquimans Counties for the joint employment of an Assistant Home Demonstration Agent is continued. On motion of E. N. Elliott, second ed by J. R. Peele, that Dr. Martin Wisely be appointed to serve on the Welfare Board for a period of three years beginning April 1, 1953. On motion of J. R. Peele, seoended Board be authorized to pay bonds by J.
