Higher Enretat In Etfenfon Schools Largest Gain Is Regis tered In Colored Schools On the whole there was an in creased enrollment in Edenton schools last week, according to Su perintendent John A. Holmes. Principal Gerald James reported that 403 students enrolled the first day in the Junior-Senior High' School, which is 20 more than the first day last year. In the Edenton Elementary fehpol, Principal Ernest Swain re ported 607 enrolled, which is exact ly the same number as last year. , In the Negro schools there was a greater increase, Principal D. F. Walker reporting that the first day enrollment was 937, which is 116 ltiore than last year. At St. John’s Negro School 73 enrolled which compares with 67 last, year, an increase of six. Enrollment is gradually increas ing since the' opening day, how ever. [Hospital Patients] Visiting Hours: 2:00-4:30 P. M., and 6:00-8:00 P. M. Children Under 12 Years of Age Not Permitted To Visit Patients.
