Berryman, Jr., Sunday at noon in the Warwick Baptist Church. The ceremony was performed by the pastor, the Rev. Russell B. Cottingham. The bride is the daughter of 1 Mr. and Mrs. Walter Umphlett. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dewey H. Berry man, Sr. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a winter white street length dress of silk faced brocade. She carried a Bible topped with a white or chid and showered with stepha notis. Miss Jean White was her cou sin’s maid of honor and Sandra Nixon, niece of the bridegroom, was a junior bridesmaid. Mr. Berryman’s cousin, Erie Haste, Jr., was best man. Groomsmen were Sidney Lee Perry, Donald Spivey, Joseph Wiggins and Duryl Parks. Following the ceremony the newlyweds received guests and friends in the vestibule of the church. CELEBRATES 80th BIRTHDAY Mrs. Joe Ward entertained at her home in Hertford on Sunday, honoring her aunt, Mrs. Jesse Asbell of Edenton. The occas ion was Mrs. Asbell’s eightieth birthday. Many friends and relatives called during the af ternoon to wish her happy re turns of the day. State’s Peanut Production Up Based on condition and prob able yield reports from growers as of October 1, peanut pro duction is forecast at 324,850,000 pounds, up 1.4 percent from Sep tember 1, according to the North Carolina Crop Reporting Service. Yield per acre, indicat ed at 1,825 pounds, is 35 pounds below the record yield produced in 1958. Generally, weather con ditions have been favorable for digging operations. The convention began in the Americana Hotel Sun day and will end today (Thurs day).
