West, office manager 'of the local ASCS office, has been informed that the State j Committee has extended the deadline date for requesting re leased cotton through April 6, ' 19G2. The' office has notified jail cotton farmers to come to the ASCS Office and make their written request if they \ want more cotton to .plant. Mr. West also reports that as of Friday, 331 Chowan County farmers had signed to divert 1 4,401 acres in the 7962 Feed | Grain Program. Last year 351 i farmers diverted 4,066 acres.
