Courses Offered On Tax Problems Emphasis Placed on Farm and Small Businesses Five special short courses dealing primarily with farm and small business income-tax prob lems will be offered during De cember by North Carolina State College. The programs, to be taught in five locations across the state, will include four two-day regu lar courses and one advanced course. The oourses, which have the full cooperation of both state and federeal revenue services, are primarily designed for per sons who assist others in filling out tax returns, with special emphasis on the farm and small business category. Girl Scout And Brownie News The Girl Scout Troop No. 720 met November 13 at 3:30 in the Barker House with 21 Girl Scouts and the two leaders pres ent and we sang our Girl Scout Song and said our Promise. Af ter that we had our patrol meetings. Each patrol collected the money and gave it to Ginna Jones, treasurer. Each group chose a badge to work on. Af ter singing taps the meeting was adjourned. . James Brabble. The Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge were said and the song leader le din a song. The secretary, Connie Overton, called the roll and read the minutes of the last meeting. Since there was no old business, the meeting was turned over to Harry Venters. He talked about plans for the coming meetings.
