I LESSON
Coin'd, from Page 6 —Section 2
are rich with so many blessings.
And the greatest gift of all—his
only begotten son—he gave to
us with an unfailing love so
that we might come io salva
tion.
When we think 1 of all His
many gifts, the weight of our
stewardship must weigh heavily
upon our shoulders. As pointed
out in the Book of Luke, “Every
one to whom much is given, of
him will much be required.” If
the Macedonians could contri
bute so willingly towards the
cause of Christianity out of their
extreme poverty, how much
greater is the burden or respon
sibility on us, with all our plen
ty? How much of our necessi
ties— .so-called —are really lux
uries to which we have become
accustomed? If we but sat
down to think a minute we
might be surprised at how many
of the “necessities” of life we
could do without, and still get
along very nicely!
If we let a sense of gratitude,
a feeling of brotherhood or all
mankind, permeate our souls,
then good Christian stewardship
will automatically follow and
as vVe saw, so shall' we reap, in
deed.
