The Aces jumped to a lead of 12 to 1 as Melvin Barnett hit his | first four shots. At the pnd of the first quarter the Aces led 18 to 5. Then Bertie started press ing and continued the press un til the end of the game.' With such a small gym and with fans on all sides of the court the press was very effective. With the press bothering the Aces and with an advantage of Height, Bertie gained on the Aces, and cut their lead to 23 to 15 at the half. During the second half, height of Bertie players dominated the '* boards; and kept the Aces from second! shots. Also Melvin Bar • nett was held to only 6 points the seeond half, whereas he scor ed 10, points the first quarter. Witli these facts and the press, Bertie ! gained on the Aces and tied the garhe 41 to 41 at the end of regulation time. The Aces had a chance of winning before, regulation time was over but could net get a shot away. In the overtime Bertie scored 4 points and the Aces could score Fi iisi?
