Dear Fellow Democrat: The Chowan County Committee for Lake for governor would like to take this means of expressing their appreciation to you for your contribution and support of Dr. Lake in the May 30th democratic primary. All of us, of course, are disappointed that we did not win, but we can enjoy the satisfaction of having carried our county for the man we felt best qualified to lead our state. As you know Dr. Lake has endorsed Dan K. Moore as the candidate who comes closer to his program for good govern ment for North Carolina. Many erf Dr. Lake’s Chowan County supporters have joined him in his support of Judge Moore, and the Lake committee would like to have your support also. If we can get Dr. Lake’s supporters to vote K. Moore on June 27th, we will still achieve our primary objective of electing the man we feel will best serve our state. We thank you again for your support and past efforts for Dr. Lake, and strongly encourage your support of Judge Moore on June 27th. LAKE FOR GOVERNOR COMMITTEE. PEOPLES BANK AND TRUST CO.
