No wonder we Americans are becoming Ho be known as a nerv ous people. 1 read somewhere recently that nine million Am erican kids were learning to play some sort of musical instrument. And if nine million kids plunk ing or strumming or blowing on musical instruments is not just cause for nervousness, then I don’t know what is. Here is something I ran across the other day in my reading, which I thought was good ad vice, and so I will pass it on to you. “ . . . I am too old to re gret what could not be helped, or try to recover what has long been lost.” I have adopted these words as my cardinal rule of life.
