The services will begin each even ing at Y:3O o’clock. The nurseries will be open for each service. The public in invited. In preparation for the revival, several things are being done. The church is having 10 15-minute radio programs over WODJ be ginning at 10:10 A. M. These radio services began on March 22. They will run Monday through Friday fiom Maivli 22 through April 2. The Royal Ambassadors will dstribute to all of the homes in the community door kn»Vb enve lopes, which will include a |<er- SMnul invitation for each family to attend the revival and also Several tracts. A prayer meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 P. M. on March 26 r id continue until noon on March 27. Members are volunteering to be responsible for a 30-minute period. This prayer meeting will be he'd at the church. Rev. Charles A. Chilton will he the guest evangelist. Mr. Chilton was born August 22, 1935, near Fredericksburg, Va. He was con verted and called to preach in the Round Oak Baptist Church, which is in the Fredericksburg Baptist Association. He is a graduate of BJucfield College, Uluefiehl, Va., the Uni- REV. (lontost Is Won By (iat if* iliapter Gates County FFA Chapter won first place in the 1965 Al bemarle FFA Federation Land Judging contest. The contest was held in Gates County Thurs day afternoon, March 18. Perquimans FFA Chapter won second place and Chowan Chap ter third. .Don Evans, Douglas Smith, Clyde Spruill and Wayng Blanchard were members of thd Chowan team. The Contest is sponsored an nually by Gates and Albemarle Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors. M. E. Knight, chairman of the Gates County District Supervisors, pre sented checks for sls, $lO and $5 respectively to the winning teams for their achievement. He also presented a $5 check to Gene Riddick of the Gates Chapter for having the highest individual score in the contest. Also attending the event were L. C. Bunch and Fahey Byrum, Albemarle District supervisors. . The contest is sponsored an nually for the vocational agricul ture students in Chowan, Gates, Perquimans, Pasquotank, Cam den and Currituck counties by the supervisors for the purpose of emphasizing the importance of being able to recognize the capability of land and treat it accordingly. Land judging is a proven method of learning to appreciate uur land and soil. POCAHONTAS MEETING Chowanoke Council No. 54, De gree of Pocahontas, will meet to night (Thursday) at 8 o’clock.
