A native and lifelong resi dent of Chowan County, he was a retired agent of Metro politan Life Insurance Com pany. I He was a son of the late William S. and Minnie Morris White. Surviving is his wife, Mrs Cornelia H. White and one brother, Willie A. White of Portsmouth, Va. Mr. White was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Eden ten where funeral services were con ducted sSunday at 4 o’clock with Rev. R. N. Carroll of ficiating. Burial was in Beaver Hill .Cemetery.
