Failure to certify applica ble acreages by the dead line date June 30 will re sult in a loss of program benefits and payments. All payments will be com puted in the New Orleans Commodity Office and sent to the county office for de livery. This will eliminate farmers having to come to the county office for their checks. Bin and Dryer Loans Now is the time for all farmers to take inventory of their storage facilities to see if they are adequate to take care of their grain and soybean crop. If not they should investigate the possibilities of purchasing new storage facilities and drying equipment. ASCS stands ready to help in this undertaking by offer ing to lend up to 85 per cent of the out-of-pocket cost of such equipment. The loan on the bin is re payable in 4 equal install ments over a period of five years, with an interest rate of 4 per cent. The inter est on the dryer loan is also 4 per cent. This loan is repayable in 3 annual installments over a period of 3 years. Interested farmers are encouraged to visit or call the ASCS of fice for complete details. The USDA on JUhe 13 announced the schedule of loan rates by grades for the 1967 crop of flue-cured tobacco. Loan rates range from 27 cents to 89 cents per pound, and reflect the average support price level of 59.9 cents per pound. This support level repre sents an increase of about 2 per cent over the 1966 crop national average sup port level. Reminders Final date to file for a new farm wheat allotment is June 30.
