PAGE TWO-A fW' j. We’re “Air Conditioned” all Winter, While we dream of the heat of Summer. Then “Air Condition” takes over again, Are we getting smarter or dumber? I suppose I am among the minority group who do not like air conditioning. I do like the change of sea sons, but Summertime with all its heat is my favorite. Being closed in an air conditioned room is de pressing to me. It’s won derful to have open doors. I thought that when my family got smaller. I’d be through such things as canning fruits and vege tables. However, although it’s on a smaller scale, I’m about to can again. Mr. B. i as a small garden and has raised an over supply of snap beans and wax beans, of which he is quite proud —so today is “Canning Day.” Our friend, Miss Lena Jones, has returned to Montreat for the summer and although we know s.ne loves to be there, we miss her so very much, be cause of her friendliness and cheerful outlook on life. It’s good to hear that Virginia (Mrs. Tom) Byruin is home again, feeling much better. We hear that Frank Muth is slowly im proving. Our prayers and thoughts are also with Izzy Campen and Wilborne Harrel, who are in the hospital.
