We’re “Air Conditioned” all Winter,
While we dream of the heat of Summer.
Then “Air Condition” takes over again,
Are we getting smarter or dumber?
I suppose I am among
the minority group who do
not like air conditioning. I
do like the change of sea
sons, but Summertime with
all its heat is my favorite.
Being closed in an air
conditioned room is de
pressing to me. It’s won

I thought that when my
family got smaller. I’d be
through such things as
canning fruits and vege
tables. However, although
it’s on a smaller scale, I’m

raised an over supply of
snap beans and wax beans,
of which he is quite proud
—so today is “Canning
Day.”
Our friend, Miss Lena
Jones, has returned to
Montreat for the summer
and although we know
s.ne loves to be there, we
miss her so very much, be
cause of her friendliness
and cheerful outlook on
life.
Another reason that we
like the summer season is
because of its casual and
comfortable outdoor living.

I talked with one of the
beauticians in town who
had recently attended a
beauty show of hairdress
ers, and she tells me that
the trend of short hair will
continue. However ,it will
be with the more softness
ot curls, pushed toward the
face. That’s good news, as
I am all for short hair as
you may have noticed!
It’s good to hear that
Virginia (Mrs. Tom) Byruin

much better. We hear that
Frank Muth is slowly im

Izzy Campen and Wilborne
