Her regal nosegay of valley lilies and stephonetis was showered with gypsophilia and satin ribbons. The bride’s matron of honor was Mrs. Richard Davenport of Winston- Salem. Bridesmaids were her cousin, Mias Cathy Cooper of Greensboro, and Mias Karen Davenport of Fhoenixville, Pa., Mrs. Pet. e: Lenox of Closter, N. J„ and Mrs. Robert Todd Caldwell of Hickory. They wore floor length gowns of maize yellow linen in an empire A-line fashion. They were designed with a scoop neckline and white or ganza ruffle cap sleeves, accented with yellow vel vet bows at the shoulders. They wore forward watteau hats of white organza with clusters of fresh marguer ite daisies. The attendants carried white straw bas kets filled with white mar guerite daisies and minia ture ivy, Ihe bridegroom’s uncle, Geddes Blenco Potter of Eden ton, was best man and the ushers were Rus sell Bootwright, brother of the bridegroom, and War ren Elliott of Edenton, Tom H. Parham of Wilson, Richard Cobb of Raleigh, Richard Hollowell of Mar tinsville, Va., Harold Ev erett Hall of Chester, S. C., and William C. Deans of Newark, DeL, cousin of the bridegroom. The mother of the bride wore a sheath of pale pink swirled organza ruffles with matching accessories and a white orchid. The bridegroom’s mother wore a beige linen sheath with matching cotton lace coat and a corsage of green cymbidium orchids. When the couple left for their wedding trip the bride wore an ensemble of off white linen with red and navy trim, matching accessories and an orchid. The bride attended Peace College and graduated from Atlantic Christian College. She made her debut -in 1964 at the Tespsichorean Ball. She has been a teacher with the Wilson City Schools. The bridegroom is a 1967 graduate of Atlantic Chris tian College. He is em ployed by Allstate Insur ance in Richmond, Va., where the couple will make their home. Reception Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride at a reception at their home. Tne dining room table was covered with an em broidered cut-work ban quet cloth and was center ed with a silver epergne arranged with white snap dragons, mums and baby’s breath. Three - branched silver candelabra were used on each side. On the side board were antique five branched candelabra and the wedding cake that was later cut by the bridal couple and members of the wedding party. Mrs. H. L. Cooper, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Geddes Potter, aunt of the bridegroom, served fruit punch and . champagne punch from silver bowls. Silver trays and compotes holding party dainties were on the serving table. Others assisting in the house were the bride’s aunts, Mrs. Carl Cooper and Mrs. John Thorne and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Dav enport and Mrs. Kendall Cooper. Wedding Breakfast The brid *1 couple-elect was honored at a breakfast on their wedding day at the Benvenue Country Club. Members of the wedding party and out -of - town guests were seated at a “U” shaped table that was centered with an antique silver tureen holding white gladioli, snap-dragons, car nations and marguerite daisies. Similar smaller arrangements were also used. Bridal place cards marked the seating ar rangement. Champagne was served followed by a three course breakfast. The bride wore a blue linen A-line dress with sleeves of white cotton lace and complimented by a corsage of marguerite daisies. Hosts for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. Jim my Davenport, Mrs. Ken dall Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McNair and Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Burnette. Pre-Hearaal Dinner Honoring the bridal couple-elect on the eve of their wedding were the bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. A. Caswell Edmondson and Mr. Edmondson and his aunt, Mrs. Geddes Potter and Mr. Potter of Edenton. A three course dinner was served at the Carleton House to members of the wedding party and out-of town guests.
