STONE Virginia Pastor Guest Minister Revival services are sched uled at the Rocky Hock Bap tist Church August 30 through September 6 at 7:45 o’clock each evening. Rev. Mark Stone, pastor of the Lcndon Bridge Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, Va., will be the guest speaker. Mr. Stone is a native of Thcmasville and has done evangelistic work in Florida, South Carolina, North Caro lina, Virginia, West Virginia and Texas. His television ex perience includes a weekly TV shew, “Ministers Forum,” Portsmouth, Va. Also radio services in South Carolina and Virginia. His hobbies in clude golf and working with young people and their prob lems. The Rocky Hock Choir un der direction of Jack Evans, will present special music each evening. Nursery facilities will be open for each service. Plans and preparations are being made for a great re vival. But I hope to return home after regaining more strength. Choral Society Reactivation Set Flans are being formulated for the coining season’s activ ities of the Albemarle Choral Society. Dates have been es tablished for series of con certs in December and March. All singers in the Albe marle area of senior high school age ar.d over are cor dially invited to participate in . the society’s program. Materials for the first con cert series have been ordered and will be on hand for a reading at the first rehearsal. Arrangements have been made for instrumental groups from East Carolina University to assist in the concerts which will be presented un der the auspices of the COA Lyceum Series and Continu ing Education Division. Everett Dinner Features Belmon 'J. S. Sen. Henry Belmon, (R.-Okla.) will be in Wash ington August 25 to speak at a $lO plate Victory Dinner for R. Frank Everett, candi date for Congress from the First Congressional District. Sen. Belmon will fly into Washington in the afternoon j and speak at 7:30 P. M. at the Brentwood Club. Everett said that Sen. Bel- j mon has a very active inter- J est in this district because [ hi s brother lived around! Washington before moving I to Oklahoma and that he was I very pleased to be invited back to Eastern North Caro lina and Washington in par ticular. ‘Sen.
