Cade, Roland Ire land, W. P. Dremak, Skedge Miller and also starring Paul Tripp. This is billed as a most de lightful musical that the whole family can enjoy. (Mail orders are now being accepted at the Center Thea ter Ninth and Granby,-for its presentation on October 30 and 31. Written by Sherman Ed wards, the show opened in New York the night of March Id 1960, there was reported just SIB,OOO in the box of fice. Weekly expenses were then running $45,000. Cranberry Spice Not Bread V 4 cup auger. \ cup milk. 1 egg, beaten. y« teaspoon salt. y« teaspoon ginger. J 6 teaspoon cinnamon. 1 teaspoon lemon extract. 3 cups biscuit mix. 1 cup fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped. Vi cup chopped walnuts. Preheat oven to 350 de grees. Combine sugar, milk and egg. Add salt, ginger, cinnamon, lemon extract and biscuit mix; beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Fold in cran berries and nuts. Spoon into a well-greased loaf pan. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, or until loaf is browned. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly before slicing. For indivi dual loaves bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve these little ones with delicious Cranberry Butter Jam. Cranberry Batter Jam 2 cups fresh cranberries. 1 cup sugar. V 4 cup water. Vi cup chopped walnuts. Juice of 1 lemon. 2 tablespoons butter or margarine. 'Nestle’s Semi- Sweet Chocolate Morsels. y« cup shortening. V 4 teaspoon salt. Vi cup evaporated milk. 1 jar (7V4 oz.) marshmal low cream. Melt semi-sweet chocolate morsels and shortening over hot (not boiling) water. Add salt; remove from heat. Grad ually add evaporated milk; stir until smooth. Let cool, approximately 10 minutes. Add marshmallow cream and beat until smoth. Makes enough frosting and filling for a two-layer cake or two dozen cupcakes. To freeze turn frosting into container. Wrap properly for freezing. When ready to use, let frost ing stand at room tempera ture until soft enough to spread, about one hour.
