Page 2-A Lecturer Appearing Here GREENVILLE, SC- Frank Garlock, internationally known authority on music and how it affects people, will conduct a "Symphony of Life Seminar” at Immanuel Baptist Church, in Edenton, July 28-30 at 7:30 o’clock each night. Dr. Garlock is an extension staff lecturer for Bob Jones University here. According to Dr. Garlock this seminar is designed to provide Christians with an understanding of the Biblical principles of music and their application to Christian living. “A symphony is a growing together of varied sounds, and the Symphony of Life Seminar will bring together the varied aspects of Christian living and show how they converge in the music of any group of people,” says Dr. Garlock. Titles of messages by Dr. Garlock will include , "You’re Putting Me On,” I “The Music Is the Message,” “Pop Goes the Music,” “A New Song,” “Understanding Teen Problems,” and “The Rock of Ages Versus the Age of Rock.” He will answer such thought-provoking questions as, “Does the Bible have absolute standards for the music of a Christian?”, “Is All-Stars Drop Decision By Mike Johnson The 13 year old All-Star Team was defeated Thursday night by the Washington All-Stars by a score of 11-2. Washington became area winners, with Edenton All-Stars taking the runner up laurels. The 13 year old All-Star team was composed of the following players: David Biinch, Edward Walker, Dhvid Keeter of Belk Tyler team. Woody White, David White, David Hibbard, Eric Phillips, Graig Felton, and Ronald Stallings of Cotton Mill.
