ferry-Copeland Exchange Vows ’ WlNDSOß—Edgewood Baptist Church here was the setting August 15 for the marriage of Miss Patsy Kay Perry and Mr. Richard Ervin Copeland. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Perry of Windsor. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin D. Copeland, Jr., of Tyner. Rev. Joseph Polinski, officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. , Mrs. Lydia Hoggard of Windsor was matron of honor. Nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Sylvia Brooks of Windsor, at the piano, and singing was Cindy and Alan Holland, of Deep Run. Mistress of Ceremonies was Mrs. Sandra Phelps of Windsor, and at the book was Mrs. Kathy Davis, cousin of the bride of Seven Springs. Mrs. Copeland is a graduate of Bertie Senior High School and is now .employed at Bertie Memorial Hospital. Mr. Copeland is a graduate of Chowan High Schobl and is planning to farm. The couple will make their home at Route 1, Tyner. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Riddick, Sr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James White. Rev. The head piece was of satin rosette. She choose to carry a bouquet of yellow and white daisies. Miss Rosie Riddick, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Miss Dorothy Blount, Miss Knovack Granby, Miss Ava Walker, and Miss Carolyn White, sister of the groom, all of Edenton. Mr. Adonis Leigh of Edenton served as best man. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonso Spivey of Edenton. The wedding will take place October 17 at Raeford United Methodist Church at the bride, all of Edenton. Vernice Riddick, sister of the bride, was responsible for the music. Following the reception at the bride’s home, the couple left for a wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va. They will make their home in Durham where both are attending N. C. Central University. An office party was given in honor of the bride on August 13 by Mrs. Naomi Hester and other co-workers of ARP DC. Page 3-A Dr. Charles Petty Is Guest Speaker At Edenton Baptist Dr. Charles Petty will be guest speaker at both ser vices on Sunday at the Edenton Baptist Church. He is director of Christian Life and Public Affairs of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Petty will conduct a series of Family Life Conferences at the church beginning tomorrow evening and continue through the Sunday evening service. The message in song at the morning service will be a solo entitled “Right Now” to be rendered by Mrs. Lowell Gieseke. Lane of Tyner announces the engagement of his daughter, Claudia Gail, to Mr. Joseph Franklin Roberts of Tyner. Miss Lane is a graduate of the professional program at Louise Obici School of Nursing in Suffolk, Va. and is employed with Perquimans County Health Department. Mr. Roberts is a graduate of Pitt Technical Institute of Greenville and is employed with J. H. Conger and Sons of Edenton. The wedding will take place October 16th at 3:30 P.
