Page 2-A Bandon Notebook By Maggie B. Man’s inhumanity to man! U’g ao much in evidence today it actually makes one physically ill when we think dbout it. A very important (Art of the Lord’s Prayer teems to have been forgotten “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of us remembered and practiced daily the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi? “Lord, Make me an in strument of Your peace. Where these is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon, Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light, Where there is sadness, joy. For it is in the giving that we repave; It is in the pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are bom to eternal life.” The early birds arriving at Bandon for Sunday School found it warm and cozy. But, approx. 9:40 A.M. the electricity went off! The church was checked in its entirety and nothing was found wrong. Then it was discovered that the safety breaker on the pole trans former outside and had been knocked out, perhaps by some playful squirrel. This little accident didn’t even slow us down. Supt. H. T. Bunting warmly welcomed everyone and asked that they move to the right side of the sanctuary where the light was best. Candles were lit and placed on the piano for the convenience of Butch Smith, who provided music for both services. Our prayer list was reviewed.
