Page 8-A Weyerhauser Units Underway , PLYMOUTH - i Weyerhaeuser Company has announced start-up of two more wood products manufacturing units here at its Plymouth Mill Complex • -a new woodtreating facility and a firelog plant. The woodtreating facility is primarily treating Landscape Timbers i (trademark) manufactured from veneer log cores generated by company plywood plants at Plymouth and Jacksonville. The facility also treats dimension lumber and timbers manufactured at Weyerhaeuser sawmills at Plymouth and Lewiston. The new plant treats about 32,000 Landscape Timbers or 340,000 board feet of lumber per shift each week. Plywood can also be treated to fill special orders. The woodtreating is ac complished using chroma ted copper arsenate in a totally enclosed system, and the product is often referred to as “pressure treated” wood.
