News
Three defendants in
Chowan County District
Court Tuesday received
active prison terms. Judge
John T. Chaffin presided, at
the session with Asst. Dist.
Atty. Keith Teague
prosecuting the docket.
James Eugene Hassell
was given 90 days for no
operator’s license and
improper equipment.
Erie Lee Jordan was
given 90 days for disorderly
conduct and 190 days for
communicating threats. The
sentences are to run con
currently.
Russell Theola Saunders
was given seven months for
drunk driving and driving
while his license were
revoked.
Other action taken in
cluded:
Ronnie White, show cause
order for failure to comply
with court order, ordered to
catch up support payments.
. William Lee Brown, no
I operator’s license, 30 days,
suspended upon payment of
SSO fine and costs. Notice of
appeal entered. _
Basil Harden, Jr., worth
less check, 30 days,
suspended upon payment of
$25 fine and costs and make
restitution.
Roy Rodgers Ford, drunk
driving and reckless
driving, 90 days, suspended
