A motion was made by Commissioner Copeland, seconded by Commissioner Jones, and unanimously carried, that the Chowan County Project Ordinance, Phase 11, Chowan County Water Project be adopted. Subject: Ordinance filed in Ordinance Book I, Page 61. A motion was made by Commissioner Peele, seconded by Commissioner Elmore, and unanimously carried, to authorize execution of the following contracts: Contract: Bryant Utilities Construction - $575,285.11. Contract: Madgette Well & Pump Company - $24,800.00. A motion was made by Commissioner Copeland, seconded by Commissioner Peele, and unanimously carried, that a letter be sent commending Farmers Home Administration for its valuable assistance in the Chowan County Water Project. A motion was made by Commissioner Peele, seconded «Sr Commissioner Jones, and unanimously carried, that the Tax Collector be relieved of Tax Receipt No. 436, amount $8.79 - & J. Boyce, Jr. -for furniture tjiat was listed in Perquimans and Chowan County. Commissioner Elmore, seconded by Commissioner Copeland, and unanimously carried, that the Board endorse Edenton-Chowan Rescue Squads efforts to obtain EMT IV designation if squad members are interested. A motion was made by Commissioner Elmore, seconded by Commissioner Copeland, and unanimously carried, that the Board will attempt to purchase UHF items the Board feels are needed by the Chowan County Rescue Squad if grant application is THE CHOWAN HERALD funded. A motion was made by Commissioner Peele, seconded by Commissioner Jones, and unanimously carried, that the following resolution be adopted; RESOLUTION WHEREAS, in accordance with the redesignation of Federal and State Civil Preparedness organizations as Emergency Management Agencies, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Chowan County Com missioners, the Chowan County Civil Preparedness Agency shall be known as the Chowan County Emergen c7 Management Service and the Civil Preparedness Coordinator shall be known as the Emergency Management Coordinator. Adopted Monday, February 4, 1960. J. P. Timberlake of Tim berlake & Sykes, presented a FY 78-79 budget review. A motion was made by Commissioner Peele, seconded by Commissioner Elmore, and unanimously carried, that the audit invoice be accepted and the County Manager be autfeorized to transfer $2,425 from General Fund contingency to proper expenditure [account for the purpose of remitting final payment to Timberlake & Sykes. A motion was made by Commissioner Elmore, seconded by Commissioner Jones, and unanimously carried, that the County enter into contract with Timberlake & Sykes for the preparation of FYI9BO audit, with stipulation that Timberlake & Sykes are not to exceed number of hours worked in the FY79 audit without approval of the County Manager. Cliff Copeland, County Manager, gave a report of projected expenditures and project cost of the Courthouse Project. A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Elmore, and unanimously carried, that the Board hold a Public Hearing on Revenue Sharing Funds, Monday, February 18, 1980, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. in the Fourth Floor Conference Room of the Page 9-B County Office Building. A motion was made by Commissioner Copeland, seconded by Commissioner Elmore, and unanimously carried, that the resolution of the Dare County Board of Health be endorsed.
