Davis Jewelers A Edenton, North Carolina, Thursday, September 25, 1980 colonies, took place in Edenton on October 25,1774, and will be commemorated this, year by a weekend of activities sponsored by the Edenton Historical Com mission. The celebration will feature a major military encampment in volving over 100 members of Revolutionary War reenactment groups from North Carolina and Ken tucky. Continuous demonstrations by these authentically uniformed, armed, and costumed organizations will offer a living history of those perilous times. Among children’s events will be such Colonial games as tanagrams, chuck-a farthing, leap frog, and tug-of-war, along with demonstrations of taffy pulling and yaupon tea brewing. Corn-shelling and apple-bobbing contests will be special treats for young people. Lined up also are a children’s story hour at the Shepard-Pruden Library, and a puppet show at Queen Anne Park. The Historical Com mission’s Children’s Ac tivities committee is headed by Jane Mabry Williams, a resident of Cape Colony. CARD OF THANKS The family of Nova E.
