So, first you should determine the cause. Usually you’ll know if it is the result of a trauma, such as a baseball bat to the jaw or a dental procedure like a tooth extraction. Swelling from an infection is usually preceded by pain and may cause an overall sick feeling, with fever and perspiration. In either case, you should see the dentist as soon as possible. Alleviating the swelling doesn’t cure the cause. Darrell Baker of Silver Springs, Md. and Everett Baker of Chesapeake sprat Tuesday with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Baker and attended the funeral of their uncle George Baker at Ahoskie. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smithwick, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Layton and Chet White were among those attending the funeral of George Baker at Ahoskie on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Martin White and children of Danville were the guests of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Chet White for the holidays. Mrs. Bernice Cobb is a patient at the Sarah Leigh Hospital at Norfolk. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a gown of white organza trimmed with silk Venice lace. It featured a Queen Ann neckline with full sleeves. The crater back of the gown had a wide panel of imported schiffi lace falling into a deep flounce hem line. The chapel length veil of illusion fell from a camelot head piece and was ac cented with matching lace. She carried a long-gated traditional cascade of white roses, stephanotis and smilax greenery. Mrs. Sharon Lane of Hertford sister - in - law of the bride was matron of honor. She carried a short cascade consisting of pale yeUow minature carnations and white cushion pompoms and baby’s breath. Bridesmaids were Miss Sherry Bunch of Edenton. Miss Gwyn Trueblood, Miss Bonnie Underwood and Miss Lori Newberry of Hertford, and Mrs. Cindy Farah of Nags Head. Little Miss Lisa Lane of Hertford, sister of the bride was flower girl. Mr. Sundstrom was his son’s best man. Ushers were his brother, John Sundstrom of Va. Beach, his cousin Kenny Copeland, and David Sawyer of Edenton, Robert Lane, and Earl Lane, brothers of the bride of Hertford. Acolytes were Paul Lane brother of the bride and Chad Copeland cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Joey Byrum of Edenton. Mistress of Ceremonies were Mrs. Annie Lou Chappell aunt of the bride of Hertford, and Mrs. Carolyn Jordan of Windsor. The brides parents en tertained with a reception in the fellowship hall im mediately following the ceremony.
