THE CHOWAN HERALD
The desired effect of the
program is that the students
will become self-supporting,
tax-paying citizens with
skills that will be useful to
them for the rest of their
life.
Carpentry and welding
were selected as the two
most marketable skills
because nearly all
mechanical and main
tenance occupations are
enhanced by either car
pentry or welding. The
largest industry in this area,
agriculture, verifies a due
need for people with these
skills, and the CDC program
provides these people.
Going Out Os Business
We regret to announce The Albemarle
Pharmacy will go out of business
Saturday, August 1. Until then, all
prescriptions and over the counter
items will be priced at 10 per cent below
usual charge.
Prescriptions will become property of
Hollowell-Blount Pharmacy. Refills
may be obtained their after August 1. I
recommend their professional style of
Pharmacy, and they will appreciate
your business.
