Page 8-A ■: 4 ■|K« Willis Privott, Jr. To Attend Med School Willis Privott, Jr., has been selected for matriculation in the 1981-82 First-year class of the East Carolina University School of Medicine, Greenville. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Willis Privott, Sr., of 136 Tylers Lane, Edenton. Willis is a 1976 graduate of John A. Holmes High School and a 1980 graduate of East Carolina Ur versity with a B. S. "giee in Biology. Follown.g his graduation from E. C. U., he received post-baccalaureate training in Microbiology at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, N. C. and graduate training in Biochemistry at East Carolina. Over the past year, he has done research with the UNC School of Epidemiology in conjunction with the Community Medicine Foundation, Inc., of Tar boro, N. C. on hypertension and health care services in Edgecombe County. Through a summer program sponsored by the Center for Student Op portunities at the Medical School during June and July of this year, he was able to utilize the facilities of the medical school and Pitt County Memorial Hospital in preparation for his first year. He hopes to study Pediatrics. Prior to returning home for the summer, he was employed by Nash General Hospital of Rocky Mount, N.C. in Psychiatric Nursing and the Planning Discharge Units. Mr. Belch, 67, Taken In Death Graveside services will be held today (Thursday) at 11 AM. in Beaver Hill Cemetery for George Medlin Belch, age 67, who died. Monday at his residence in Tallahassee, Fla. Dr. John Allen, pastor of Edenton Baptist Church, will officiate. He was a former resident of Edenton, and the brother of Mrs. N. J. George of Edenton. Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Hamlett Belch; one daughter: Mrs. Richard B. Broughton of Severna Park, Maryland; and two grandchildren. He was a retired manager of Skyline Motor Court and member of East Hill Baptist Church and Unanimity Lodge No. 7. Pallbearers are Joe Thorud, Jesse Harrell, Dr. Richard Hardin, Leo Katkaveck, Cecil Fry and Tom Hopkins. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that con tributions be made to the Bobby Belch Scholarship Fund in care of John A. Holmes High School. Williford- Barham Fun eral.
