Wackelin (yue&t iSpeaket Mrs. Bruce Wackelin of Edenton will address the Edenton Tea Party Chapter, DAR, at their monthly meeting on October 14, at the Edenton Restaurant at 1 P. M. Her topic will be the Edenton Tea Party Celebration which will be held October 24-25 this year. It is well remembered that Mrs. Wackelin directed a very successful Tea Party Celebration last October 25-26, in spite of unfavorable weather conditions. Tom Funk, archaeologist, with the N. C. While living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado she conceived and directed a three-day Fourth of July celebration which drew 4,000 people. Gunfighters, roping demonstrations, panning for gold for children and pie eating contests were among the attractions.
