A program of nuptial music was presented by Dan Sellars of Greenville, organist. Mike Barnette of Farmville was soloist. The bride and groom were united in marriage by as firmation of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie G. Suggs, Sr. of Farmville and Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Small, Sr. of Edenton. The bride wore a formal gown of white organza over white peau de soie designed with a high neckline outlined in silk Venise lace. The bodice was enhanced by a sheer yoke of English net with beaded Brussels and silk Venise lace and bor dered in silk Venise lace. The full bishop sleeves were accented with a silk Venise applique and trimmed cuffs. The modified A-line skirt and attached cathedral train featured scalloped silk Venise lace and was edged in minature floral silk Venise lace. She wore a bridal hat of organza, silk Venise and Brussels lace fashioned with a fingertip veil of illusion forming an illusion bow at the center back. The hat was ac centuated with seed pearls encircling the crown. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations ac cented with red roses. Mrs. June S. Highland of Farmville, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Becky Society Meurt Welcome to Mrs. Rosa Davenport and daughter, Haley. They have moved to Edenton and are now residing at 920 N. Broad Street. Mrs. Davenport is Site Manager for Historic Edenton. Laura Hutchison of Atlantic Christian College is visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hutchison. Miss Anna Kay Manning is home for Christmas holidays visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Man ning. —O — Mr. and Mrs. Allen Humphrey have returned with Carter’s Ink. Mr. Humphrey was transferred from Crossville, Tennessee. Mrs. Humphrey was Miss Ava Garrett arid a former Site Manager frif Historic Edenton. They now reside in the 100 block West Church Street. Mr. John E. Raines arrived home Friday from Glen Cove, N.Y. to spend a few days with his mother, Mrs. Carolyn Raines. The mother of the bride wore a blue knot formal gown with lace jacket and the grooms mother chose a dusty rose gown accented with pearls. The wedding was directed by Mrs. Howard T. Holloman of Farmville and Mrs. Lisa Ashley of Edenton presided at the register. Following the wedding a reception was given by the brides parents in the Church Fellowship hall. The cake was served by Mrs. Elaine Pickett of Farmville and Mrs. Guy Russell Byrum of Edenton poured the punch. After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S. C. the couple will live in Williamston. The bride is employed by Burrough Wellcome in Greenville. The bridegroom works with INVITATION The Art Department at John A. Mrs. Lori Barnette Goodwin, a wxfl Kz Mrs. Lori Barnette Goodwin native of Shelby, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Barnette of Shelby, and wife of Edward C. Goodwin of Edenton. Mrs. Goodwin attended Peace College in Raleigh and entered the University of North Carolina School of Dental Hygiene at Chapel Hill. Upon graduation from the School of Hygiene she took a position as hygienist in Shelby. Mrs. Goodwin has un dergone an unusually busy autumn, 1981. Within a few days time she married Eddy Goodwin on October 24, moved to Arrowhead Beach, Edenton, and began her employment with Dr. Sick, whose office promptly began its own moving process. As Dr. Sick’s staff settles into the new location on Mark Drive, Mrs. Goodwin looks forward to quieter times in Edenton.
