The lumber Stacker crew just set a new w eeWyjprod uction record by stacking 394,000 board feet of lumber in a 42-hour week, which is an outstanding 26 per cent above planned production. The core edger “B” shift broke all previous records for a one-shift weekly production by producing 156 packs per eight-hour shift for the entire week. Both core edger crews established a new two-shift record of 145.5 packs per eight-hour shift. The treating operation itself also set a new weekly production record by run ning 63 total charges. “A” shift produced 124 per cent of their plan, while “B” shift achieved 128 per cent of theirs for a combined record of 126 per cent of planned production, an excellent record. —O— George Henson, who has Death Claims Mr. Vogedes William Vogedes, Sr., 85, died Dec. 21 in Baltimore, Mayland. He was the retired secretary-treasurer of the Richard P. Baer Co., who had lumber mill operations in Edenton, Alabama, and Louisiana. Following his retirement, he operated a wholesale lumber business out of Baltimore. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Freda Vogedes; one son: William Vogedes, Jr. of Raleigh; and one grand child, William Vogedes, 111, also of Raleigh.
