@oupl* Uni tad SJn Mattlaye The marriage o ( Miss Betty Jo Harrison and Charles Nelson Cozart, both ofLubbock, Texas, was solemnized in a lovely service in Zion Chapel Church of Christ in Roper on Saturday evening, January 2 at six o’clock. The church sanctuary was banked with fern, roses, baskets of gladioli, burgpndy carnations, daisies and eucalyptus, flanked by arched can delabras. The windows were lighted with twin tapers, and candles accented with lilies and burgundy ribbons lighted the aisle. Rev. Arnold Pressy of ficiated in the double-ring ceremony. Wedding music was presented by Mrs. Wade Adams of Plymouth, organist, and Mrs. Mack Snell of Roper, soloist. The bride is the daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. Hope Clinton Harrison of Roper. Parents of the groom are Mr, and Mrs. William Merritt Cozart, Sr. of Edenton. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white silk organza over bridal satin. The fitted Empire bodice featured a sheer Brussels lace yoke and Victorian collar. Peau <f«>ge lace with accents of seed pearls overlaid the cotter and bodice and full mo P sleeves. The shirt i)it( lace motifs mounting an tfccordian pleated hemline flounce and extended into a full chapel train. She wore a hat of imported lace from itfiich a short veil extended. ; :She carried a bridal bouquet of silk orchids, burgundy azaleas and pink Sweetheart roses, accented tffth gypsophilia and fern. •:Miss Cynthia Ann tjferrison of Roper, niece of tile bride, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of burgundy qiana. The bodice Matured a sheer lace yoke m sleeves with peplum fcistline. She carried a Colonial silk bouquet of burgundy azaleas, cream gardenias, Boston fern and gtosophilia. Bridesmaids were Miss Rebecca Robinson of Raleigh; Mrs. David Green and Mrs. Joseph Rath, both Os Cary; Mrs. William Franklin Lucas of Plymouth; and Miss Janis Elizabeth Belch of Newport News, Va., cousin of the groom. They wore gowns Identical to that of the maid of honor. Each carried Colonial bouquets of burgundy azaleas, Boston fern and gypsophilia. Howeveer, if the knocked-out tooth is a baby tooth, due to fall out soon, the dentist may do ‘ nothing. A missing back tooth, however, whether lost by accident or ex traction, needs a space maintainer to prevent other teeth from drifting into the space. An overcrowded space would prevent the permanent tooth from coming in properly. There are a number of devices available depending on the situation. Swanner, has been selected to be a finalist in the 11th Annual Miss North Carolina National Teen-ager Pageant to be held at Meredith College, Raleigh, on April 9- 11. Andrea Hanna of Win ston-Salem is the reigning Miss North Carolina National Teen-ager and will crown the new queen. There will be contestants from all over the state competing for $750.00 cash, a $4,000 Scholarship to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., a tuition scholarship to the Barbizon School, and an all-expense paid trip to the Miss National Teen-ager Pageant which is televised. Miss National Teen-ager awards more than $400,000 in Scholarships annually throughout the country in its state and national pageants. The National Winner will also receive a new car. Judging is based on scholarship, leadership, poise, personality, and appearance. There is a choice for contestants to compete in speech or talent divisions.
