On Dean’s List
ROCKY MOUNT - David
Lindley Jordan has been
named to the Dean’s List for
the 1981 fall term at North
Carolina Wesleyan College.
Jordan, a freshman biology
major, is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry L. Jordan.
Pro-Am Finals
Set For August
Sherril Austin, of Hickory,
chairman of the Golf Work
Group of the N. C. Affiliate
of the American Heart
Association and president,
Carolina Professional Golf
Association, has confirmed
that the 1962 Heart Fund
Pro-Am finals will be played
at Foxfire Golf and Country
Club in Pinehurst in August
under the sponsorship of the
Branch Banking and Trust
Company.
Local qualifying tour
naments of four man teams
will play best net two balls
of four and 75 per cent of
handicap for 18 holes
through July 23, 1982.
Local winners will
progress to Foxfire where
they will participate in a 36
hole tournament. Each four
man team will be paired
with a member of the
Carolinas PGA to compete
for a SIO,OOO purse and
prizes.
