Inspection Is Conducted The Pollock Swamp Drainage Commissioners, joined by local Soil Con servation Service personnel, recently made their annual maintenance inspection on the Pollock Swamp Watershed Drainage Project. The commissioner’s task of trying to determine where work is needed the most is not an easy job, especially since there is a very limited amount of money available for maintenance work. Edenton, North Carolina, Thursday, February 11, 1982 those areas that need mowing the most, or visibly inspecting how many bridges and pipes might need repairing, are some of the most current shores the Commissioners are faced with. The Pollock Swamp Watershed, a PL 566 Drainage Project, was completed in 1966 with federal assistance from the Soil Conservation Service. It has a drainage area of 15,000 acres with 28 miles of open channels where main tenance is a continuing process.
