All Homs 50' Km 1 1 . Lost Colony Auditions Slated MANTEO Auditions for the 1982 Joe Layton Production of Paul Green’s “The Lost Colony” will be held here February 27, at 2 P.M. Hie Manteo auditions will be in “The Lost Colony” activity building adjunct to the Elizabethan Gardens on the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site. “We are resuming a tradition that has been lost over the years,” said Robert Knowles, associate producer-general manager, of holding the Manteo auditions first. “We will be auditioning for all parts with the ex ception of those that are already filled by com mittments from returning cast members,” he added. Those attending the auditions are required to bring a photograph and a resume. Procedure for auditioning is as follows: Acting positions: Potential cast members should prepare two minutes of memorized dialogue of their choice. Singing positions: Prepare two minutes of singing of your choice. Dancing positions: Potential dancers will be included in a dance movement class led by an instructor from “The Lost Colony” production staff. No prepared material is necessary. Children will be auditioned. Potential cast members under 18 years of age required to have their own housing. “The Lost Colony” is unable to provide housing for anyone under the age of 18 years. Additional auditions will be held by the Southeastern Theater Conference, March 5-7, in Louisville, Ky. Also, auditions are scheduled March 27 at the Institute of Outdoor Drama in Chapel Hill.
