EDEN Jack L. Ashley
has been promoted to vice
president at Southern
National Bank in Eden.
Ashley joined Southern
National in October, 1979, as
assistant vice president and
branch administrator, his
most recent position. He
was with Painters National
Bank in Ahoskie for five and i
one-half years as assistant
vice president before
coming with Southern
National. He also worked
with Sears Roebuck and
ARMCO Steel Corporation.
Active in civic affairs,
Ashley was the 1981 General
Chairman for Eden United
Way. He is presently a
member of the Eden Rotary
Club, board member of the
Eden Chapter of The
American Red Cross,
president elect for the Eden
Chamber of Commerce and
is chairman of the Ser
pentine Club for 1982.
Ashley is a graduate of
N.C. State University in
Raleigh where he received
his Bachelor of Science
degree. He is married to the
former Ann S. Cardwell of
Rockford, Ala.
His parents are Mr. and
Mrs. P. C. Ashley of
Edenton.
