Ashley joined Southern National in October, 1979, as assistant vice president and branch administrator, his most recent position. He also worked with Sears Roebuck and ARMCO Steel Corporation. Active in civic affairs, Ashley was the 1981 General Chairman for Eden United Way. He is presently a member of the Eden Rotary Club, board member of the Eden Chapter of The American Red Cross, president elect for the Eden Chamber of Commerce and is chairman of the Ser pentine Club for 1982.
