Thurs. r,un;> All Items (I Vpm ) 50 * Ka< h Local Educator To Serve As Conference Presenter Mrs. Sandra Phillips, Gifted and Talented, Emotionally Handicapped and Learning Disabled instructor at D. F. Walker School, has been selected to serve as a presenter at the 7th Annual Conference on Gifted and Talented. The conference, sponsored by the Northern Virginia Council for Gifted and Talented Education, will be held March 13 at George C. Marshall School in Falls Church, Va. Mrs. Phillips will be one of fifty presen ters, representing out standing educators from states along the East Coast. During the conference, workshops and sym posiums, expressing the theme “Maximizing Options for G-T: Matching the Program to the Gift”, will be offered for parents and educators. The program categories will include: Curriculum Strategies; Program Projects, Models; and Social Emotional and Learning Needs. To become a presenter, Mrs. Phillips submitted a symposium proposal of her concepts in the Social, Emotional and Learning Needs category.
