THE CHOWAN HERALD Renaissance Era Topic Os COA Lecture The famous voyages of discovery, another gift from the Renaissance, will be the subject of discussion during the next-to-last session “The Human Dimension” humanities series at 7:30 P.M. on March 30, at College of The Albemarle. Well-known local scholar. Dr. Louis V. Nadeau, professor of philosophy at Elizabeth City State University, will present the lecture. His discussion will describe the excitement of the times as man ex perienced a physical ex pansion of his terrestrial .torixons through the discovery of new lands. More exciting were the discoveries of Copernicus, Galileo, and Kepler, ac cording to Nadeau. His discourse will reveal many of the emotions of these Renaissance astronomers, who were the first to glimpse worlds beyond man’s reach. Nadeau, who has been associated with ECSU since 1970, holds several degrees. Midgett Completes Studies George W.
