Page 4-B Creswell Hawks To Participate In Eastern Area All-Star Games The Criswell Hawks, local prison bkskfetball team, traveled “' tp Wayne Correctional' Center in Goldsboro; April 3, to participate in the Eastern Area All - Star games. They played the Wayne Correctional, Center Steelers in the semi - finals and won by a score of 53 to 47. Scoring was led by Maurice Godette w&Hfr points and Thomas Gftrey with 15. In the 'finals the Hawks met arch' - rival Currituck Untouchables. They were led in scoring by Godette and Corey with 10 points each. Walter Harrell tossed in nine points to aid the scoring. Most valuable player of the tournament was Godette. This was the first year a most valuable placer was selected. Maurice is also the team captain. The team is composed of the following players: Godette, Corey, William Perkins, Walter Harrell, Adolph McDonald, Mark Bell, Amos Jordan, Glen wood Moses, Michael Roberson, Tony McPherson, James Bell, John McAllister, John Smith is statistician. Each player received an individual trophy for the victory and a large trophy for the unit. The Hawks are coached by Jimmie Horton of Creswell and Preston Bunch of Edenton, both employees of the Department of Correction. The Hawks will now travel to Lillington, on April 24 to participate in the Eastern Regional finals. The team and coaches would like to express their thanks to the community and everyone who helped In the the support of the team. The class begins at 7 P.M. The course will cover the many facets of the real estate profession as well as other relevant subjects.
