“Although the budget
reductions will necessitate a
careful watch of ex
penditures,” Bray said,
“our ongoing programs and
services through June 30
will not be seriously cur
tailed.” The funds that were
returned represented a
surplus from a special state
allocation to operate an
industrial maintenance
instruction! program.
The balance to be
returned will be derived
from travel and supply
allocations, he explained.
The state originally has
asked for a three per cent
reversion. After a review of
the essential needs of in
stitutions in the community
college system for the
remaining two months in
this fiscal year, the budget
and management office
agreed to the 1.8 per cent
rate.
