Page 2-A Edward Wright Williford Edward Wright Williford, 7#, of Many Hill, N.C., died May 7 at home. The husband of the late Mrs. Fannie Gray Williford, he was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Christian Church in WiUamston, N.C. He is survived by his son, Thomas Edward Williford of Washington, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Janice W. Gray of Williams ton and Mrs. Mary Lewis of Galax, Va.; and eight grand children. Funeral services were held graveside at the family cemetery in Merry Hill on May 5 at 11 A.M. by Rev. Coleman Thomas. Greenway, Sr. and Aubrey Sanders. Burial was in Memory Memorial Gardens. Old was a native and lifelong resident of Pasquotank County, residing on Route 3 all of her life. She retired in 1982 from Wayside Florist and was a member of the Berea Baptist Church and the Adult Ladies Bible Class. She was the daughter of the late, Dennis and Narcissus Morgan Overman and widow of the late Tully Old. She is survived by one son, the Rev. Billy Old of Route 1, Tyner, pastor of Chappell Hill Baptist Church; and three grandchildren. Representatives from the Greenville S.S.C. offices will be on at 7:15 A.M. discussing the financial soundness of the social security program. The Women of the Church have housecleaned the church building. The Deacons have had a new sign erected. The Session through a com mittee have been in touch with hundreds of former members and also the former Pastors. At 9:30 A.M. the Cann Memorial Presbyterian Puppeteers will present the parables of Jesus in modern interpretation. The group is from Elizabeth City. Everyone is cordially invited to attend the celebration. Nuclear War Film To Be Shown Two showings of a free film examining the con sequences of nuclear war, “War Without Winners,” will occur May 15.
