Mr. Mitehener is an Elder in First Church and recently was elected the Elder representative from Albemarle Presbytery to the 122nd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States. Nearly 500 representatives from 17 States met at Columbus, Georgia. The biggest issue before the Assembly was the question of Reunion with the United Presbyterian Church after 122 years of separation. The Assembly voted to send the Plan of Chowan Medical Cantor, P.A.
