Notice is hereby given of a public
meeting to be held by the Depart
ment of Natural Resources and
Community Development on behalf
of the Division of Environmental
Management concerning (1) the
draft FY-83 State EPA Agreement
by and between the State of North
Carolina and the Environmental
Protection Agency and (2) the draft
FY-83 program plan for the
Division of Environmental
Management.
Date: Tuesday. August 10. 1982.

Room, Archdale Building, 512
North Salisbury Street, Raleigh,
N.C.
Purpose: The purpose of the
meeting is to briefly describe the
draft FY-83 State EPA Agreement
and the draft FY-83 program plan
and to receive public comment on
these draft documents.
The State EPA Agreement is
composed of priority en
vironmental issues and developed
jointly by North Carolina and the
Environmental Protection Agency
to receive special emphasis during
the State's annual environmental
program from October 1, 1982
through September 30, 1983. The
draft issues scheduled to be
reviewed and subject to change at
the time of this notice are as
follows: Air and Water Quality
Toxicity; Non Point Source Air and
Water Pollution; Generic En
vironmental Impact Statements.
The program plan is a detailed
document describing the specifics
for carrying out the annual en
vironmental programs under the
Clean Air Act and the Clean Water
Act.
Comment Procedure: All persons
interested in these matters are
invited to attend or submit written
comments. Persons desiring to
present lengthy comments or
discussions in regard to the
proposals are requested to submit a
written statement for inclusion in
the record of proceedings. The
meeting records will remain open
for a period of 10 days following the
meeting for additional written
statements to be submitted.
