Selection is made after careful study by the Honor Club members. The tapping is a distinction that is reserved for less than one half of 1 per cent of the state’s 4-H members. Miss Goodwin has been a 4-H member for 9 years. During this time she has completed over 100 projects and has been county project winner 45 times. Anna was selected as state project winner ii> crop production and attended National 4-H Congress in Chicago, Illinois. She has served as Chowan County 4-H Council President and was recipient of the Ruritan Trophy for the ‘ most outstanding Chowan County 4-H Club girl. A recipient of a SSOO 4-H Development,- Fund Scholarship and an SBOO Extension Homemaker Association Scholarship. She will attend Meredith College in Raleigh in the fall. Walker has been a 4-H Club member for 5 years. Clothing construction and citizenship were her major projects. She has been County Fashion Revue winner 4 times and in the State Fashion Revue top 30 for the past 2 years.
