will be dedicated with a
special commitment ser
vice. The sermon, by the
Pastor Rev. H.E. Mallinson,
will be from Mark 7, en
titled, “Open Up”. A call to
“open up” our lives and our
church life to new un
derstanding and action will
be made.

The big news this week is
the Chowan County Fair.
This years theme is
“Community Progress”.
This year the midway is
going to be the biggest yet.
There is going to be twenty
two rides plus Carla
Wallenda on the high wire.
For the first time we will
crown Miss Northeastern
Pork Queen.
Jack Miller is in charge of
booth construction. Tuesday
Sept. 14 is the night for
setting up booth’s in the
main hall. Anyone who can

or come out to the Post at 7
P.M.
