Hollowell Baker Miles Hollowell, 75, of Cannon Perry, died Thurs day afternoon in the Chowan Hospital. A native of Chowan County he was the husband of Mrs. Vera Benton Hollowell and die son of the late Baker Melvin and Annie Byrum Hollowell. He was a retired farmer and a member of Ballard’s Bridge Baptist Church. Besides his wife he is sur vived by seven daughters, Mrs. Ruth Rae Taylor and Mrs. Sue H. Perry, both of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Nellie H. Frank of Crestline, Ohio, Mrs. Lois Hope West of Hampton, Va., Mrs. Betty Jene Gazarek of Grafton, Va., Mrs. Rose Marie Winslow of Gates and Mrs. Annie Faye Bunch of Suffolk, Va.; a son Baker M. Hollowell of Newport News, Va.; five sisters, Mrs. Laura As bell of Sunbury, Mrs. Lena As bell, Mrs. Mary Evans, Mrs. Jen nie As bell and Mrs. Minnie Bateman, all of Tyner; £wo brothers, J. Bertram Hollowell and Weldon Hollowell, both of Edenton; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral service was held Saturday at 2 P.M. in the Ballard’s Bridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Fonville Mrs. Jessie Council Fon ville, 65, of Route 2, Apex, formerly of Durham, died Thursday. She was a retired bookkeeper with Brunson’s of Durham. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 P.M. in the (keen Level Baptist Church. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in Durham. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Linda F. Jackson of Apex; a son, Ronald L. Fonville of Hillsborough; a sister, Mrs. Wilma C. Swain of Edenton; two brothers, A.M. Council of Apex and A.R. Council of Durham; and two grandchildren. Information was provided by Swindell-Bass Funeral Home. Fannie L. Sheehan Mrs. Fannie Louise Lecister Sheehan, 68 of Deland, Fla. died in her home Sunday. A native of Bertie County, she was the wife of John Sheehan and the daughter of the late Jordan and Mrs. Helen Williford Lecister. Surviving other than her husband, one daughter; Thursday, November 16,1982 Mrs. Margarite Kern, East Setauket, N.Y. One son; Stephen Sheehan, Macon, Ga. Two sisters; Mrs. Gladys Lecister, Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Blanch Slaughter, Victoria, Va.; and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, 3 P.M. in the Harrellsville Cemetery, in Hertford County. Ar rangements were made by Williford-Barham Funeral Home. Ryans Grove Special Service Ryans Grove Baptist Church will be holding ser vices Thanksgiving Day at 11 A.M. The speaker will be the Rev. Larry Lynch along with the Gospel Disciples from Kinston, N.C. The Gospel Disciples are being sponsored by the senior choir. The Ryans Grove Senior Choir will be celebrating their anniversary on Sunday, November 28 at 3 P.M. The public is invited to at tend both events. Pastor: Rev. Celvin Whedbee.
