Humidity Factor In Heating Humidity is a major factor in home heating efficency, so give it due consideration when planning for energy conservation. High humidity makes our bodies hold heat. Anyone who has lived through a summer in North Carolina knows how difficult it is to get comfor table on a humid day, even if the temperature isn’t high. Dry air absorbs moisture from the skin and produces a chilling effect. That helps ex plain why mothers fret when their children work up a sweat playing outside in cool weather and take off an outer garment. The clothing next to their bodies is damp from perspiration and cools quick ly when the sweater or coat is removed. 4-H Club Discuss Group Meeting by Cheri Blount On Saturday, November 6 the St. John Canaan Temple 4-H Club met at the St. John Community Building.
