The Dixie Deer Classic is held to seek out and recognize with awards trophy whitetail deer; to promote the ideas of quality deer hunting; and to provide for the exchange of ideas between expert whitetail hunters across the country with interested deer hunters in the Southeast. The exhibition, display and seminar space for the Dixie Deer Classic this year at 90,000 square feet is five times greater than that provided last year when five thousand ardent sportsmen viewed some two hundred trophy deer and all manner of deer hunting related equipment. The show this year will again attract top whitetail racks and many nationally known deer hunting experts in cluding writer, photographer and lecturer Leonard Lee Rue; buck lure manufacturer and bowhunter “Tink” Nathan; editor of “North American Whitetail” magazine David Morris; and North Carolina’s own resident expert deer hunter, Paul Chamblee.
