GOODWIN RECEIVES SCHOLARSHIP—Joseph Goodwin was the recipient of a $375.00 scholarship for a two week short
course in modern fanning which will be at N.C. State University. The scholarship was sponsored by the North Carolina Banker
association and was given to Goodwin by the City executives which are: left to right, Jim Ball, president of the Bank of
North Carolina; Mac Self of Tarheel Bank and Trust; and Bruce Gillikin of Peoples Bank and Trust and Mike Williams
of the Agriculture Extension Service.
