Mark Gaskins led the Blazers with 12 points. Arvin Johnson and Guan Skinner totaled 7 each for Perquimans. Sr. Boys After clinching first place the Blue Devils fell on hard times and dropped a 60-57 decision to the Tarheels. Richard Wilson showed no respect to the first place team and poured in 25 points to lead the Heels. Darrell Chesson led the Blue Devils with 22 points. Open League The Bruins surprized Ryland with a 60-58 overtime victory. Edward Walker and Frank Hardy led the Bruins with 19 points each. Kevin Cooke led Ryland with 16 points. The win temporarily moved the Bruins into a 3 way tie for third. GHP got back to its winning ways with 74-62 thumping of Lee’s B.P. Robert Shields held the hot hand for GHP leading them with 17 points. Charlie Morring had 16 for Lee’s. Town notched its seventh win with a 73-41 rout over Tanzer Yachts. Arnold Brothers led Town with 16 points. Less Bennet had 10 points to lead the Tanzer attack. Kevin Cooke’s jumper at the buzzer lifted Ryland to a 50-48 victory over Valhalla Tire. Gene Jordan connected for 18 points to lead Ryland. Jimmy Dillard led Valhalla with 15 points. GHP reclaimed sole posses sion of Ist place with a 60-55 win over the Bruins. Delmonte Johnson fired in 19 points to lead GHP. Frank Hardy had 14 to lead the Bruins. Greenleaf Farms toppled Lee’s BP 63-55.
