The planting season will continue late Spring. The seedling crop for next year will be planted later this month with seeds produced by the Weyerhaeuser seed or chard, also located near Washington. The workshops are sponsored annually by the SmaU Community Economic Development office erf the North Carolina Department of Commerce for com munities applying for the Governor’s Community of Excellence Award. This year’s workshops wiU put special emphasis on in dustrial site selection and the availability of outside funding for community development projects. The one-day workshops will be held on March 15 at Mar tin Community College in Williamston, March 16 at Fayetteville Technical In stitute in FayetteviUe, March 17 at Wake Technical Institute near Raleigh, March 22 at Wilkes Community CoUege in Wilkesboro, March 23 at Rowan Technical College in Salisbury, and March 24 at Haywood Technical Institute in Clyde.
